Christopher Frank Cobb Coale, 87, of Angleton, passed away at Creekside Village on May 19, 2024. He was born in Houston Texas to his parents; Edgar and Laverne (Cobb) Coale on October 12, 1936.
Christopher Frank Cobb Coale graduated from Angleton High School, and shortly thereafter attended St. Edwards University. He later attended LSI college in Lafayette, Louisiana. Chris served in the United States Air Force, Angleton Knights of Columbus, International Brangus Breeders, and was awarded Outstanding Farmer of the Year. Christopher Coale was affectionately known as Poppa to his family and was the most devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Chris spent his earlier days farming, ranching, and supporting his wife and children. Later in life he continued to show this same support to his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Poppa was a very passionate and innovative person throughout his life. Although he continued to age, he kept a young spirit until the very end. Poppa was the most supportive, attentive, and caring person. He taught everyone in his family persistence and perseverance and displayed these traits until his final days.
He married his wife, Derla (Lorraine) Coale on October 25, 1958 by the Basilian Fathers at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Angleton, Tx.
He was preceded in death by: Edgar Lewis Coale (father), Laverne Letitia Cobb Coale (mother), Edgar Lewis Coale Jr.- King (brother), Adan Fulghum (great grandchild).
Christopher is survived by: daughter, Deana Borne (husband: Bryan), grandchild- Nick Winans (wife: Nola), great grandchildren- Isabella and Bennett Winans, grandchild- Courtney White (husband: Andy), great grandchildren- Sophia and Brody White, grandchild- Brooke Brown (husband: Derron), great grandchildren- Cailyn and Camdyn Brown, grandchild- Dustin Winans (wife: Katie), great grandchildren- Kailie Winans, son: Christopher Coale, grandchild- Lindsey Fulghum (husband: Harry), great grandchildren- Asher and Amara Fulghum, Adan Fulghum, grandchild- Wyatt Coale (wife: Ashley), great grandchildren- Wren and Willow Coale, grandchild- Cheyenne Hughes (husband: Collin), great grandchild- Maverick Hughes, daughter, Anna Beth Coale, grandchild- Clay Coale (wife: Vanessa), great grandchildren- Caysen and Carleigh Coale.
Mass to celebrate Chris's life will be held at the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church on May 25, 2024, at 11:00 am. A Rosary service will take place at Palms Funeral Home on May 24, 2024, at 7:00 pm, with a public viewing scheduled from 6:00 until 8:00 pm the same day.
