Christopher Curtis Garner, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Christopher Curtis Garner Jr., affectionately known as Little Chris. Born on October 17, 2001, in Cleveland, TX, Chris left us too soon on March 1, 2025, at the age of 23, but not without leaving his mark on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Chris was a true "boy's boy," who loved to raise a little hell and embrace life to the fullest. Whether he was out fishing, hunting, or tearing it up on a four-wheeler, he approached every adventure with unmatched enthusiasm and joy. Chris had a knack for barbecuing, bringing family and friends together for memorable cookouts filled with laughter and great food. His love for guns and his spirited chase after fun and excitement were only rivaled by his fondness for the company of friends, particularly the ladies, when they were making unforgettable memories.

He brought a lively spirit to every gathering, and for those who knew him well, "Give Heaven Some Hell" was the perfect theme song for the vibrant life he lived. It perfectly encapsulates the energy and passion he exuded every day of his life.

Chris is survived by his loving father, Christopher Garner andstepmother Mandy Garner; brothers Gunner Garner and Thomas Gulledge; sister Elissa Gunn and her husband Clayton; and sister Makayla Garner. Grandparents Bubba & Carol Vickery, Maternal grandmother Carmen Leal Solis.

He will be deeply missed by his family and a community of friends who adored him. Visitation will be held on March 7, 2025, from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home, where we will gather to share stories, celebrate his life, and remember Chris in a way that he would have adored—full of laughter and heartfelt memories.

Though we grieve the loss of Chris, we celebrate the incredible moments he brought into our lives. May his memory forever inspire us to embrace life with the same passion he did. Rest easy, Chris; you will always have a place in our hearts.

Christopher was preceded in death by his mother, Leonor Solis Garner; grandparents: Stony and Carol Garner, maternal grandfather Juan Solis, and his aunts: Laura Catney, and Lisa Ratliff.
