Christopher Matthew "Chris" Milum

It is with profound sadness that Christopher Matthew Milum's time on earth came to an abrupt end. The devoted father, brother, son, friend, and husband was born into our lives on December 10, 1975 in Houston, Texas and left this earth August 17th, 2020 in The Woodlands, Texas. He was only 44 years old. Growing up Chris loved baseball and golf, fast cars, and spending time with his brothers and close friends. Being a natural athlete, he was drawn to coaching later in life and taught golf for many years in the Dallas area, making more friends to count and inspiring people to love the game of golf. Chris was very witty, quick to make friends, impeccably dressed, and owned a smile that could make anyone's day better. In 2015 while living in Dallas, Chris met his wife Valaree Milum, before moving back to the Houston area to be closer to his children. Currently working as a new home construction sales counselor for MHI, he loved selling homes and meeting new people while working with families to build their dream home. Chris was a steadfast father to Christian Matthew Milum, 16 years old, and Makenzie Nicole Milum, 15 years old. His greatest joy was being their father and consistently instilling morals and values into each of them. From watching Christian play baseball to cooking gourmet meals with Makenzie, the time he spent with them will never be enough. After combining families, he was proud to call Makayla Penn, 21 years old, his oldest daughter and never missed an opportunity to binge cooking YouTube videos together. Knowing his strong Christian faith, he was welcomed into Heaven by many old friends and family and his family takes comfort in knowing we will see him again. He is survived by his wife, Valaree Milum, 47 of The Woodlands, and children Christian Milum, 16 of Huntsville, Makenzie Milum, 15 of Houston, and Makayla Penn, 21 of The Woodlands. His father Rick Milum (Norma), 67, of Angleton, mother Nancy Bukbun, 66 of Thailand, brother Gabby Bukbun (Tina) and their children Darian 25, Danika, 24, Dayne, 21, Damon 18, and Darah 17, brother Patrick Milum (Lindsay) 36, and their children Lola 12, and Harper 10, brother Vincent Milum, 34, grandmother Peggy Laverne, 87 of Edmond, Oklahoma along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
