Clayton Edward Collinsworth

Clayton Edward Collinsworth, 51, of Angleton, Texas, passed away on November 24, 2023, in Gillett, Texas. He was born on May 21, 1972, in Angleton, Texas.

Clayton was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend. He is survived by his parents, Eddie and Rhonda Collinsworth, his daughters, Anna Johnson and Charlize Davis, his sister, Tonya Collinsworth (Courtney Bevers), his brother, Christopher Collinsworth (Roseanna Edson), his nephew, Lane Edward Collinsworth, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Clayton was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Melissa & Herbert Stewart, George Newton & Clara Collinsworth; grandparents, Patsy Stewart, Lawrence Edward & Effie Mae Collinsworth, Ned & Melba Castellow.

Clayton's love for his family and friends was immeasurable. Clayton's best friend was his cat, who provided him with never-ending loyalty, comfort and companionship.

Clayton attended Angleton High School, then went on to serve in the US Army. His hobbies included woodworking and painting.

Visitation for Clayton will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, beginning at 1:00 pm, with funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Burial will be at Pilot Grove Cemetery on Friday, December 1, 2023, at 1:00 pm in Yoakum, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Larry Dale Castellow, Guy Collinsworth, Cody Castellow, Gene Epperly, Preston Epperly, & Christopher Collinsworth. Honorary pallbearers are Allen Pekar and Jesse Sell.

Clayton will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and those whose lives he touched.
