Clifton Eugene Harris

Clifton Eugene Harris, was born on Dec. 21, 1933 to Lucile Jones and Buster Harris in Ursula, Arkansas. Public Visitation will be Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 5-8:00 p.m. in Palms Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Monday March 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Palms Funeral Home, Angleton, TX with Burial to follow in Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for a little over 20 years, he was a member of the Angleton Lodge #829, and he passed away on February 28, 2016 at home with his family. Cliff is survived by his son Dennis Harris and wife Jessica of Danbury, daughter Shelley Harris Mitchell and husband Dee of Nederland, 4 step children. Nine grandchildren Amber Harris, Autumn Harris, Quentin Harris and wife Courtney, Kite Huett, Austin Huett, Alyssa Huett, Robert Huett, Devan Mitchell, and Shelbie Mitchell, numerous step grandchildren. Two great grandchildren Winter Grace Harris, and Brayden Harris, step great grandchildren. Cliff was preceded in death by his first wife of 28 yrs. Carol Harris and his second wife of 15 yrs. Dean Woodard Harris, his mother Lucile Jones, father Buster Harris, Sister Marjorie Dankert. Cliff spent numerous years in the Shriners, enjoyed watching his grandchildren show with their FFA organizations and other activities they were involved in. He loved doing his wood working, making pens and other handmade projects, he always made sure to give out to others, especially any law enforcement officers. He will be remembered for spending many years as am umpire and referee for baseball, basketball, football, and softball. He enjoyed collecting shells with Dean and displaying them. Cliff lived a great and loving life, spending time with his family and dear friends, he will be greatly missed by all who loved and cherished him. Serving as Pallbearers will be Michael Shawn Hall, Sr., Devan Mitchell, Quentin Harris, Josh Menard, Austin Huett and Justin Champagne. Honorary Pallbearers will be SPC. Kite Huett (United States Army), James Blackstock, Wayne Woodward and Dave Barziza.
