Cruz Alcorta Robles

Cruz Alcorta Robles, 90, of Angleton, Texas passed away September 28, 2015 in Angleton. She was born May 3, 1925 to Ramon and Rita (Lopez) Alcorta in Gillett, Texas in Karnes County. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church located at 1713 N. Tinsley, Angleton, Texas with Father David Zapalac officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Cruz was a Cursillista, a life time member of the Guadalupana Society, since its founding in 1960 and she served as its President for 1 year in Angleton, Texas. She was in the Altar Society for Our Lady Mount Carmel, in Wharton, Texas and in Angleton for Santo Tomas de Aguino, and Saint Basil. She and her husband Willie enjoyed watching the Houston Astros and supported the Angleton Wildcats. Cruz was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willie L. Robles, son, Rudy Robles, daughter, Candi Rodriguez, sisters; Bernarda, Julia, Sofia, and Esiquiela, brothers; Victor, Ramon, and Francisco, great-granddaughter, Danica Soliz, and her daughter-in-law, Christina Robles. Left to cherish her memories are her children; Juan Andrew Robles, Frank (Hope) Robles, Ramon (Martha) Robles, Margaret (Louis) Ferrel, Alonzo Robles, Dora (Anotnio, Jr) Robles, Janie Valadez, and Gloria (Raymond) Soliz as well as, 25 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers will be: Raymond Soliz, Jr., David Robles, Antonio Robles, III. ,Javier Robles, Victor Gonzales, Matthew Ferrel, Robert Soliz, and Lazaro Robles, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are: Ramon Robles, Jr., Abel Robles, Carlos Robles, Philip Rodriquez, Aaron Ferrel, and Alex Salas The family wishes to thank her care givers; Sharion, Kelly, Delay, and Beverly and Nurses Carole, Lori, and Michelle with IPH Hospice Care, Inc.
