Cynthia Ann "Cindy" Walder

December 18, 1955 — May 23, 2021

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. On May 23, 2021, surrounded by her family, Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Walder (Foley), loving wife, mother, and nanny, entered eternal rest at the age of 65 after a long courageous battle with cancer. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. (Revelation 21:4) Cindy was born on December 18, 1955 in La Marque, TX to Eddie and Georgia Foley. She grew up in Angleton, Texas where she attended Angleton High School. On May 13, 1972, she married Johnny Frank Walder, and they raised two daughters, Christie and Charlotte. She worked for the Brazoria County Appraisal District for many years and worked as an EMT at one time. Cindy had a passion for quilting and loved making them as gifts for family members. This was just one of the ways she liked to show her love for us, and we will forever treasure these. She enjoyed bird watching and would watch the birds out her window while she sewed. She loved to travel and go camping with family. We have many memories from these trips to cherish. She had a lot of fun going to the casinos with the love of her life. She was a wonderful cook and her favorite foods to cook was down home southern food. We will have big shoes to fill when it comes to cooking. Her family meant the world to her and she would do anything for them. Cindy will be reunited in heaven by her son, John Cody Walder; brother, Mike Foley; father, Eddie Foley, and sister Deborah Willis (Foley). Left to cherish her memory is the love of her life for 49 years, Johnny Frank Walder and her two daughters she loved with all her heart, Christie Ann Perez and husband Efren of Angleton and Charlotte Diane Sterling and husband Chris of Angleton; mother, Georgia Mae Foley (Thompson); brother, Gerald Foley and wife Joyce. She has eight grandchildren whom she loved to the moon and back: Austin Jeane, Alexandria Perez, Joseph Perez, Liam Sterling, Coraline Sterling, Olivia Perez; and two great-grandchildren, Aliyah Perez and Isacc Hernandez. She loved her grandchildren so much and would often tell them "I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!" Remember Me - Anthony Dowson Speak of me as you have always done. Remember the good times, laughter, and fun. Share the happy memories we've made. Do not let them wither or fade. I'll be with you in the summer's sun And when the winter's chill has come. I'll be the voice that whispers in the breeze. I'm peaceful now, put your mind at ease. I've rested my eyes and gone to sleep, But memories we've shared are yours to keep. Sometimes our final days may be a test, But remember me when I was at my best. Although things may not be the same, Don't be afraid to use my name. Let your sorrow last for just a while. Comfort each other and try to smile. I've lived a life filled with joy and fun. Live on now, make me proud of what you'll become.
