Dale Ann Vernor

Dale Ann Vernor, 49, of Brazoria lost her long and courageous battle with cancer on Friday, February 9, 2018 with her loving husband and all her family by her side. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 9:30am Tuesday February 13, 2018 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Visitation will be held Monday, February 12, 2018 from 5-7:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. She is survived by her husband David Vernor, daughters Amanda Adkins, Lisa Reyes (David "Eddie" Reyes), Ross Vernor (Rebecca "Becky" Vernor), Stephanie Maier (Kevin Maier, Jr.), Phillip Vernor (Kaycie Vernor), Martin "Bubba" DeLeon, and fur baby Hunter, 10 grandchildren, father Mike Gaona, siblings Diana, Dora, Dave Gaona and Danny Gaona as well as numerous nieces, nephews and mother-in-law Jean Vernor. She was preceded in death by mother Olivia Ann Gaona, Juanita and Cruz Gaona, Hisabel and Angelita Cabarrubia, father-in-law and Glen Vernor as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Dale was born August 10, 1968 on Port Hueneme, CA, to Macario "Mike" and the late Olivia Gaona. On June 9, 2000 she married her husband David Vernor. She worked for Academy for 20+ years she loved being a Memaw, shopping and she loved George Strait, relaxing at the cabin, going to the river in Campwood, reading and traveling. She will forever be missed by her family and friends and those whose lives she touched. While her life may have ended too soon, her inspiration and legacy will live on for years to come. Pallbearers will be Martin "bubba" DeLeon, Phillip Vernor, Kevin Maier, Jr., Joshua Gaona, Joel Gaona and Cayleb Aldrich.
