Daniel Sigmund 'Danny' Webb

Daniel S. Webb Danny Webb, of Lake Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at the age of 70. He was born on September 6, 1946, and grew up in Rockport, TX. He was a Vietnam Veteran, earning both a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Danny spent countless hours officiating and volunteering on softball fields, football fields, and basketball courts at schools and community centers locally and statewide. He was inducted into the Texas ASA Hall of Honor in 1997 for his contributions as a softball umpire, and in the twenty years since that award, his contributions multiplied in uncountable measures. He was very proud to be the Texas ASA District 27 Commissioner for the last several years. He truly loved the game of softball, the players, his umpires, and everyone involved in District 27 and beyond. He is survived by his daughters and their spouses: Kim and David Price, Janna and Tim Moss, and Cori and Robin Ingram. He adored his grandchildren: Cannon Price, Madison Glenn, Chloe Moss, Cade and Brenna Ingram. He was also blessed with two great-grandsons: Landen and Coda Glenn. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Mike and Clara Webb, and Pat and Larry Blackmon, and his mother in law, Joy Irwin. The family finds comfort in knowing he is now reunited with the love of his life, Lauri. A celebration of Danny's life will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX on Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 3pm-5pm. In honor of Danny's love for softball and the Dallas Cowboys, please dress casually in your favorite softball or Dallas t-shirt or jersey. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Danny's name to the Special Olympics, at specialolympics.org. All Arrangements handled by the caring staff at Palms Funeral Home.
