Danny Wisnoski, 80, beloved husband, devoted father, and adoring grandfather, passed away on September 26, 2023, at the age of 80. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved and cherished him.


Born on April 12, 1943 in Port Arthur, Texas, to Louis and Joe Dell (Russell) Wisnoski. At the age of 9, he relocated to Brazoria County, where he resided for the remainder of his life. Danny was a true enthusiast of 50's and 60's rock and roll music, with an unwavering love for the sounds of Jerry Lee Lewis. His passion for this era of music was infectious, as he would often be found playing his favorite tunes, creating a nostalgic and joyful atmosphere. Danny had an exceptional knowledge of music. He could sit and talk music for hours. Danny could recall by memory who wrote his favorite songs, what side of the album they were on, and how many artists had #1 hits with them.


For 37 years, Danny dedicated his life's work to Palms Funeral Home, where he not only served as a devoted employee but also became an inseparable part of the Palms family. The compassion, care, and empathy he showed towards grieving families were unmatched, leaving an indelible impact on all those he served.


Danny's love story with his wife Joan, was one of a kind, that lasted them for more than 50 years, until Joan’s death. Their unbreakable bond brought them immeasurable happiness throughout their lives. Together, they navigated the joys and challenges of parenthood and shared a deep love for their children, Debra, infant daughter, Kathrine and Louis.


Awaiting Danny’s arrival in heaven was his wife, Joan, his infant daughter Katherine, and son Louis. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Loncie and Frank Havard, cousins Phil & Jeff Westberry and his aunts, Neenie Wisnoski and Beth Fitzsimmons.


Danny is survived by his loving daughter, Debra Stefka, and her husband, Jerry of Angleton. His grandsons, Cory Stefka, and his wife, Miki and Chris Stefka, were the pride and joy of his life. His great-granddaughter, Makennah Stefka, brought a twinkle to his eyes and unconditional love to his soul. Additionally, he leaves behind his cousins, Robert Westberry and Ann Westberry Speights, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.


A visitation to honor Danny's life will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, located at 2300 East Mulberry in Angleton, Texas 77515. Funeral services will commence at 2:00 p.m. in the comforting setting of Palms Funeral Home. Following the service, Danny will be laid to rest beside his beloved Joan at the Angleton Cemetery.


Honored to serve as pallbearers are Cory Stefka, Chris Stefka, Tommy Matheson, Richard Davis, Lupe Valdez, Willie Howell, Chris “Crhis” Beutnagel, and Raymond Montoya.


Honorary Pallbearers will be: Robert Westberry, Nancy Davis, Stacey Matheson, Brandi Zapalac , Austin Solomon, Tracy Loy, Angela Richardson,  Shelby Porter, Diane Daughtery, Heather Rivera, Devaughn Price, Thurston Randall, Scott Butler, and Alex Rivera.


We will remember Danny for the immense love he shared, the laughter he brought into our lives, and the unwavering dedication he showed towards his family and work. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory forever remain a source of strength and inspiration.


Danny, was a remarkable man who touched countless lives, will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever reside in our hearts.
