Darrell Anthony Adell Sr. 56, passed away on August 10, 2022. Darrell was born to Willie Adell and Betty Jasper Adell in Houston Tx, May 14, 1966. He graduated from Angleton Highschool in 1984, before attending Brazosport College. In 1983 Darrell met Rosemarie Kindle at Angleton High School and married at Ward Chapel United Methodist Church on August 13, 1988. Darrell and Rosemarie went on to have two children, Darrell Anthony Adell Jr. and Tiffany Angelica Adell. 1989 would become a pivotal year when Darrell enlisted to the U.S. Army National Guard, later honorably discharged during a 32+ year career with The Dow Chemical and The Olin Corporation. Darrell was a Lead Board Process Operator and member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 564. Darrell accomplished many things in his blessed life and ventured the world with family and friends. On April, 24 2005 Darrell received his Merchant Mariner Credential issued by the United States Coast Guard, and officially became Captain Darrell Adell. Darrell and Rosemarie started the inshore and offshore fishing charter business Adell's Guide Service, sponsored by Team Laguna Graphite Rods and various bait companies. Fishing charters stretched inland from West Galveston Bay to Port Isabel Laguna Madre, and as far out into the Gulf as the Tequila Rig. Darrell was a member of the Brazoria County Beekeepers Association, and eventually started his own business, Brazoria County Bee Removal. He was also an avid hunter and member of the Accuracy Gun Range, hunting from Texas all the way to South Africa. Darrell's hobbies consisted of hunting, traveling, boondocking, fishing lure designing, photography, raising game birds, wood working, gardening, riding E- bikes, drag racing, cruising in his jeep, and making mead. The Gulf Coast Mead fest of 2018 awarded him silver and bronze trophies for best specialty mead, and best melomel mead. On January 6, 2022 Darrell retired from The Olin Corporation leaving behind a long career full of great memories. Darrell was predeceased by his father Willie Adell, aunt Mary L. Hall, and grandmother Ida Mae Wilkes. He is survived by his wife Rosemarie Adell, son Darrell Anthony Adell Jr., daughter Tiffany Angelica Hernandez (Adrian Hernandez), mother Betty J. Sells, sister Iris Burrell-Bey Thd (Michael Burrell-Bey) aunt Maude Hall, uncles, Neal Jasper & Calvin Jasper, nieces Trenae' & Brittany, great nieces & nephews, cousins, and their families. The memories of Darrell Adell's many journeys and accomplishments will forever be cherished by his family and friends.
