Debora "Debbie" Sue Hutchinson

Debora “Debbie” Sue Hutchinson, of Angleton, passed away on August 21, 2024.

Debbie was born on October 28, 1949 to Otis and Esther Wehrly in Angleton, Texas. After Debbie graduated from Angleton High School she married Richard “Rick” Wayne Hutchinson, her high school sweetheart on August 4, 1967. They welcomed three daughters, Sandi Robinson, Susan O’Sheaghnessy, and Elizabeth Kurtz.

Debbie worked as a bank teller and then as a secretary at Columbia High School for several years, where she impacted the lives of many students that came through the doors. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority and enjoyed the sisterhood it provided. After retirement, she worked at many quilt shops and enjoyed spending time on her quilting hobby. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband Richard Hutchinson, parents Otis Wehrly and Esther Meador Wehrly, siblings Gerald Wehrly and Bob Wehrly, granddaughter L.B. O’Sheaghnessy, sister-in-law Ruth Wehrly, and niece Tami Wehrly.

Debbie was survived by her daughters Sandi Robinson, Susan O’Sheaghnessy, and Elizabeth Kurtz; grandchildren Austin Lutes, Mackenzie O’Sheaghnessy, Makayla Talley, Devin Talley, Tristin Talley, Tyler Kurtz and Emily Kurtz; niece Nicole Tyler, nephews Clint Wehrly and Rusty Wehrly; and sister-in-laws Linda Goode and Vickie Coffee.

Services will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas, on August 30, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
