Delia Gutierrez

Delia Gutierrez, 60 of Angleton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Delia was born in Zacatecas, Mexico on June 4, 1958, to Maria and Marcelino Gutierrez. Public visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 26, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. with burial to follow in Danbury. Delia was a loving Sister and Aunt and was greatly loved by all, especially all of her nieces and nephews. She was a second Mother to all of them and will always hold a very special place in all of their hearts. She was known for her willingness to care for others, and also for her famous pancakes. She loved nothing more than to make pancakes and share them with others. She was a special person and touched all of our lives and she will be missed tremendously by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her father, Marcelino Gutierrez, infant brother Marcos Gutierrez, and great nephew Rudy Mathias Sandoval. She is survived by her mother, Maria Gutierrez, sisters, Rosa Gutierrez, Linda Gutierrez, Maria Romero (Juan), brothers, Raul Gutierrez(Josie), Mario Gutierrez, Everardo Gutierrez (Eva), Rogelio Gutierrez, (Ofelia), Eligio Gutierrez (Zenaida), Isidoro Gutierrez(Mari), Marcelino Gutierrez(Gabriela), Jesus Gutierrez (Irma), and Guillermo Gutierrez (Armida). 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 "For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." Although Delia's passing has been difficult, Delia's family is comforted in knowing that she is now resting and home with our Lord Jesus Christ.
