Delores Diane Bevers

Delores Diane Bevers, 56, died Friday, February 3, at 11:40 AM at Ben Taub General Hospital during surgery after a wreck on February 1. Delores was born on January 4, 1956 in El Campo, TX to Jerome and Betty Urbanovsky. After graduating from El Campo High School, Delores obtained her Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. She also became a licensed massage therapist. She has been teaching since 1999 and worked at Charlie Brown Intermediate before working at West Columbia Elementary School as a sixth-grade teacher since 2005, primarily teaching science, which was her favorite subject to teach. Prior to teaching, she focused on raising her children at home, of which she was always extremely supporting and encouraging to them. She has always enjoyed spending time with all of her family more than anything else. Her love and humility towards all showed through her life as a Christian with faith in Jesus Christ alone as her Savior. Her caring spirit was also shown through her love for all of God's creation. She enjoyed animals of all kinds and visiting and experiencing new places and things. She leaves behind her husband, Jack (Cowboy); daughter and son-in-law, Lori & Matthew Thompson; granddaughter, Calista Thompson; son and daughter-in-law, Jodie & Gabrielle Vesely; granddaughter, Hadassah Vesely; parents, Jerome & Betty Urbanovsky; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia & Larry Wofford; nephew, Michael Wofford with wife, Andrea, and their children, Lila and Garner; nieces, Amber & Amy Wofford; sister-in-law & brother-in-law, Pat & Jim Deloney; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, John & Teresa Bevers; step-daughter & step-son-in-law, Stephanie & Straton Munson, and their daughters, Emily and Brooke; step-son, Jack Bevers III; sister-in-law, Faunda O'Rear; and dog, Abe. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Urbanovsky Jr. The viewing is from 5-8 PM on Friday, February 10th, and the funeral service is at 10 AM on Saturday, February 11th. This will be followed by a lunch and a procession to a graveside service in Orchard.
