Delphina Garcia Rangel was born in Goliad, Texas on April 10, 1948. She moved to Angleton in 1957 and would go on to marry the “Love of her Life”, Chuco Rangel in August of 1972. Together they happily raised their son and daughter and loved being actively involved in their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s lives. Before Delphina became sick with Alzheimer’s, she loved working on jigsaw puzzles, making beaded jewelry, collecting baseball cards, crocheting blankets and creating mums for her grandchildren and others. She loved Earl Campbell, reading books, listening to Little Joe, and watching her crime shows. However, her favorite hobby was gambling at the L’Auberge Casino in Louisiana with her husband Chuco. In fact, many times their children would call looking for the couple only for Delphina to let them know they drove to Walmart for toothpaste and just kept on going to Louisiana to gamble. The family always came together for holidays, birthdays, get together, and “just because” celebrations. She loved being around her family and enjoyed every moment together. We will miss our mom tremendously but KNOW that she is at peace. She is no longer suffering and is with the “Love of her Life”, Chuco. We Love you more than anything, until we see you again…..
