Diann Weaver Gilmore

October 1, 1968 — June 24, 2012

The world lost a beautiful angel on Sunday, June 24, 2012 in our beloved Diann Weaver Gilmore, age 43. Diann was born in Houston, Tx on October 1, 1968. The daughter of Becky Woodard Weaver Echols and Gilbert Monroe Weaver, she grew up in the small town of Laneville, Texas and later lived in Ft Hood Texas, Ft Bragg North Carolina, Ft Knox Kentucky and Schweinfurt Germany before moving to the Brazosport area in 2001. She spent the last 9 years as a dental assistant for Scott Elrod, DDS and Stephen Yarbrough, DDS at Distinctive Dental Services in Lake Jackson. Diann was a treasured friend to many, an avid motorcycle rider with her husband, and a truly amazing mother -always enjoying sunny Sundays on the beach with her girls. She will lovingly be remembered by her bright smile, beautiful red bouncy curls, her very strong spirit and tender heart. Diann is survived by her parents, Becky and Monroe; her best friend and the absolute love of her life Louis Gilmore; her precious daughters Jessica Hanak (Andrew Matela) and Peyton Hanak (Dylan McKelvy); her much adored grandson, Kelton Don McKelvy; stepson, Cory Gilmore; brother Jeff Weaver (Tiffany); niece Madison; nephew Parker; stepfather Jeff Echols, stepsister Melody Neideffer; grandmother Dean Woodard Harris (Cliff); her special Aunt Liz who took loving care of her during her illness, and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Diann passed away on the 18th anniversary of the death of her beloved grandfather, Bill Woodard. A memorial service to celebrate Diann's life will be held at Second Baptist Church in Angleton on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 10am. Her family wishes to thank the multitudes of very special friends in Brazoria County and specifically co-workers at Shintech/K-Bin/Excel that traveled this difficult road with them...because no one should have to fight cancer alone. With many members of Diann's family serving in the military , Diann was always very appreciative and supportive of our servicemen and women. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Diann's honor to: the Brazoria County Calvary or the Military Moms & Wives of Brazoria County. She would be very proud.
