Dolores H. Sampson

Dolores H. Sampson, 78, of Angleton, Texas passed away on November 17, 2017. Dolores was born to Joe & Carlotta (Luna) Hernandez on November 10, 1939 in Angleton, TX. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E. Mulberry Angleton, TX from 5pm to 7pm. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Northway Baptist Church, 1421 Buchta Road Angleton, TX at 10 am. Interment service will take place at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston TX at 2:15pm. Dolores graduated from Angleton High School, Class of 1958. She also attended Brazosport College taking computer courses to further her career at the Dow Chemical Company. Dolores worked in the Engineering Department at Dow and retired from there in 1997. Dolores loved being around her family and friends. She had a deep faith and trust in the Lord. While healthy, she was a regular member of Northway Baptist Church. She lived life to the fullest! She loved to travel! Often hitting the road on long trips with her husband in their fifth wheel camper, or staying at their time-share in Galveston or Canyon Lake. They met many friends along their travels, as she never met a stranger. Dolores loved gardening and had a beautiful flower and plant garden area outside her home. She gave delight in stopping people she didn't know to give them a compliment and brighten their day! She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and her daughter. Dolores is survived by her husband of 35 years William "Bill" Sampson Sr. and daughter; Virginia Mravunich and husband Mark, Rebecca Contreras and life partner, Leroy Faktor, and Patti Abshire and husband, Brandon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan and Valerie Mravunich and Mia Abshire as well as many other family and friends. She was a bright star, she will be dearly missed by many family and friends, but all who know Jesus as our Savior will see her again in eternity.
