Donald E. Cox went home to be with his Savior on February 26, 2014 with his family by his side. Donald was born on February 17, 1931 to Noah & Minnie Cox in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Married the love of his life Essieleta Wilson, resided in Angleton, Texas and raised their family and he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Donald was employed by Brazoria County Road & Bridge, PCT 2 for over 40 years. After retiring he loved to travel and spend time with his family. He is survived by his children; Linda (James) Anderson of Brazoria, Mary (Jerry) Barker of Sweeny, Deborah (Len) Larsen of West Columbia, Donnie (Johnna) Cox of Lake Jackson, Jimmy (Kim) Cox of Angleton, as well as 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Essieleta, parents Noah & Minnie Cox, brothers; Bobby, Carol & Sammy Cox. Pallbearers will be grandsons; Jerry Hall, Stephen Hall, Bodie Larsen, Justin Cox, Jared Barker, Cory Skorupinski, Bradley Sparkman, Rhyon Larsen, Tyler Floyd, & Aaron Sparkman, alternates; Chase Henderson, Martin Boudreaux. A special thank you to all the Doctors & Nurses at Brazosport Hospital, and a Special Thank You to Hospice Care Team and caretaker Brigitte Hall. A Viewing will be held at Palms Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Central Assembly of God in Angleton, Texas, with burial to follow in Angleton Cemetery.
