September 26, 1960 ~ April 4, 2023 Donald Lee "Tex" Lawson, II., 62, of Brazoria, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 4, 2023 with his family by his side in Galveston, Texas. He was born on September 26, 1960 in Pasadena, Texas to his parents: Donald Lee, I. and Patricia Ann (Kruse) Lawson. Tex was a loving husband, dad, and Paw Paw. Tex was everyone's favorite force to be dealt with. To know him was to love him. He was a self-proclaimed "wealth of knowledge." He loved to have a conversation, he could sit and talk with you for hours and be content. Tex loved to travel, and was a true road-tripper. He enjoyed trips to the beach and the mountains. Tex's favorite past time was spending 24/7 with his loving wife, Suzanne "Susie" (Shirley) Lawson for the last 40 years. Tex married Susie on December 3, 1983 at Manvel Methodist Church in Manvel, Texas. They would cherish the next 14,367 days together. Susie was a loving wife to Tex and will miss him tremendously for the rest of hers. Along with Susie, left to cherish Tex's memory are his daughters; Meagan Minter (husband, Chris) and Sydney Jennings (husband, Chris), his grandchildren: Cannon, Lila, Remi and Brecken Minter, and Hagen and Fisher Farley. His brother, Darrell Lawson (wife, Vicki), his sisters: Bobbie Ware (husband, Bill) and Donna Wood (husband, Craig). Tex was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his brother Douglas Lawson, and his best mate, Michael Taylor. Per Tex's wishes there will be no services.
