Donna Eloise Goff

Donna Eloise Carroll Goff was born in Athens, Texas, on November 25, 1946, to Nadine Donnelly Carroll and O.W. "Cowboy" Carroll. Donna died on October 8, 2021, in Conroe, Texas. She was 74 years old. Donna was the oldest of three children. She grew up in Angleton, Tx with her two brothers Otis Carroll and Steve Carroll. She graduated from Angleton High School in 1965, and - following graduation - she attended Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. She ultimately earned her LVN from San Jacinto Junior College in 1984 and her RN from Alvin Community College in 1996. In addition to her own children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews, Donna cared for hundreds - if not thousands - of newborns and infants during her 26-year tenure as a nurse in Angleton-Danbury Hospital's nursery. She retired in 2010, leaving a legacy of compassion, care, and comfort. Donna was also a world traveler. She lived in the middle-east and visited Europe and Asia before settling with her family in Friendswood, TX. Donna's greatest joy was her family. She adored her children: Carol Goff Hlavaty and her husband Kelly Hlavaty of Brookside, Texas, and Ron Goff and his wife Heather of Edmond, Oklahoma. That love extended to her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Donna faced every day with a smile. She was strong, caring, and she never met a stranger. A person to be counted on by neighbors and family, she lived her life true to her Christian values. Donna will be missed dearly by her family and friends. Her compassionate spirit provided comfort to all. The family will celebrate Donna's life with a memorial service at the Angleton cemetery pavilion Saturday morning, October 23, at 10:00 AM.
