Doris Catherine Owens Doris Catherine Owens, 66, of Angleton passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Houston. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5-7 at Palms Funeral Home. Doris was born August 24, 1948 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Hugh Walter Daniel & Mary Lou (Fletcher) Daniel. She loved bowling and was a member of the South Brazoria County USBC and also enjoyed playing bridge with several local groups. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Ronnie Lowery. Survivors include her husband and high school sweetheart, Robert Owens of Angleton Daughter, Mary Silberbauer & husband Scott of Shreveport, La Step-Children, Karen Obenhaus & husband Mike of Angleton and Robert "Bobby" Owens, Jr of Alvin. Brother, John Daniel of Keithville, La. She loved being "Grammy" to her two grandchildren, Calvin & Catherine Silberbauer, and had 10-step-grandchildren & 1 step-great-grandchild. A niece and nephew along with numerous cousins. Additional services and burial will be held in Shreveport, La. In lieu of usual remembrances, the family requests donations to Angleton Fire Department.
