Dorothy Rice Brown Funeral services for Dorothy Faye Brown, 81, of Angleton will be held 11:00am Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Angleton with Dr. Rodney Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 from 9:30am to 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Angleton. Dorothy was born April 25, 1931 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to Raymond and Alma Looper and passed away Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Angleton. She worked many years at the 288 Caf in Angleton and El Toro Restaurant in Clute. She was a loving mother and grandmother and a great friend to many people. She had the gift of encouragement which is exercise with everyone she met. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Brown, son, Leonard Rice, brother, Jimmy Looper, and sister, Barbara Weikel . She is survived by her son, Robert Rice and wife, Rhonda of Angleton, daughter, Diana Kochman and husband, Steve of Point Blank, brothers Robert Looper, Butch Looper, Danny Looper, Billy Looper, and Troy Looper all of Little Rock, Arkansas, grandchildren Kevin Andrews, Kimberly Meneke, Trey Rice, Meagan Rice Glaccum and Joshua Robert Rice, and great grandchildren, Charter Meneke, Stephen Andrews, Andrew Rice, Kimber Stewart, Stella Rice, and Tealle Stewart. Pallbearers will be Kevin Andrews, Joshua Rice, Trey Rice, Clayton Stewart, Charles Stewart and John Hills. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Looper, Butch Looper, Danny Looper, Billy Looper, Troy Looper, Steve Kochman, and Scott Sanes.
