Dottie Mae Lewis Dottie Mae Lewis, 76, of Angleton passed away Friday, January 26, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. We will remember her smile, her warmth, her energy, her love for life, family and friends, but also for the difference she made in the lives of many, including the children she taught over 36 years at Boggs Preschool in Angleton and Lake Jackson. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Second Baptist Church in Angleton for many years. We invite you to join us and celebrate her life and legacy. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (January 31st) at the Second Baptist Church in Angleton with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Mrs. Lewis was born November 5, 1941 in DeRidder, Louisiana to John & Hermie McConathy. She married her husband of 56 years, Jim Lewis, on August 15, 1961 in Port Neches, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles McConathy, and sister Shirley Forrest. Survivors include her husband Jim Lewis, sons, Mike (Carla) Lewis, Scott Lewis, Greg (Cindy) Lewis, siblings, S.J. McConathy, Chloe Strecker, Pam (Bill) Jamison and four grandchildren, Jessica Lobpries, Bradley, Emily, and Kaylee Lewis. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
