Douglas Dewayne Baker

Douglas Baker, 79, of Rockwall, TX died at his home on 21 March 2019. Born 6 May 1939, at the R. B. Baker family farm, near China Springs, TX, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby (Neil) Gullahorn & Ersel Wayne Baker, as well as his son, Bradley Baker. Doug is survived by his wife Sharon of 52 years, son Gregory Baker & his wife Rebecca, granddaughter Kirsten Baker, and grandsons Matthew & Ryan Baker. Doug was a caring husband, father, grandfather & friend to many throughout his life. Doug was a proud former U.S. Marine & Freemason, as well as an avid animal lover. He worked as an electrician for years in both Dallas and Angleton, TX, for several firms. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & watching football in his free time. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 PM on Tuesday, 26 March 2019 at the Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, TX. A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, 27 March 2019 at the Angleton Cemetery, Angleton, TX.
