We mourn the loss of a bright soul, Edgar Alonzo Rodriguez, who departed from this world on November 2, 2023, at the tender age of 21. Born on August 28, 2002, in the heart of Angleton, this gentle spirit left an indelible mark on the lives he touched during his too-brief time with us.

Edgar, a cherished son, was the epitome of sweetness, embodying love, respect, and altruism. His compassionate heart overflowed with a desire to lend a helping hand and bring joy to everyone he encountered. As a doting son, Edgar shared a special bond with his father, Santiago Rodriguez Miller, spending blissful hours fishing together, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

With an undying passion for music, Edgar's natural talent flourished as a lyricist. Through the power of his words, he captivated hearts and expressed the depths of his emotions. In harmony with his love for music, Edgar found solace watching soccer, and he was a fan of the Houston Astros.

Edgar's kindness extended to his family, bringing immeasurable joy to his mother, Perla Garcia Vences. She fondly remembers him as the sweetest child she had ever known - a beacon of light in her life.

Along with his parents, Edgar is survived by his siblings, Andrew Rodriguez, Brianna Rodriguez, Meilani Vences, and Yanneli Vences. They will always share in the eternal bond of love, as they navigate a world forever changed by Edgar's absence.

As we come together to honor the precious life of Edgar Alonzo Rodriguez, we invite all friends and family to pay their respects at the visitation on Friday, November 10, 2023. The family welcomes friends for a times of visitation at 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, located at 2300 East Mulberry in Angleton, Texas 77515.

Following the service, Edgar Alonzo Rodriguez will be laid to rest at Angleton Cemetery, his final resting place. As we release his earthly vessel into the embrace of the hallowed ground, may his spirit soar freely, forever held in our hearts and minds.
