Edward Allen 'Allen' Hickman Iii

Edward Allen Hickman, III, 65 of Angleton, Texas passed away at his residence on February 19, 2015. He was born on December 22, 1949 to Edward & Marvalee Jo (Darrow) Hickman, Jr. in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Second Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Mr. Hickman will be laid to rest in Angleton Cemetery. Allen was a 1968 graduate of Monterrey High School in Lubbock, Texas and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree from Texas Tech University. His family and his country were the two most important things in his life. He served his country in the United States Navy and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. Allen was a member of Second Baptist Church in Angleton, Texas. He was a hardworking man who provided for his family. He retired from Dow Chemical at the beginning of this year. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Hickman, his children; Tanner Hickman (Robbye) and Amanda Velasquez (Chris), and by his grandchildren; Timo, Alexis, Symone, and John Allen Hickman, Jasmine Heilbrun & Isabella Velasquez. Allen is preceded in death by his parents, his grandparents, and his grandson, Julian Hickman. Services are lovingly fulfilled by Palms Funeral Home 2300 E.
