Elizabeth Ann Hausner

November 27, 1959 — December 3, 2012

Elizabeth Ann Woodard Hausner, of Houston, TX and New York, NY, beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, unexpectedly passed away on December 3, 2012 at age 53. Elizabeth was born in Corpus Christi and grew up in Angleton. In her career as a registered nurse she served in the ICU at Texas Children's Hospital, was co-owner of a Pediatric Home Health Care Agency and the manager of an anatomic and clinical pathology practice, RJ Hausner, MD & Associates. Survivors include her husband, Richard J. Hausner, MD; mother, (Lois) Dean Woodard Harris; stepfather, Cliff Harris; son, Joshua David Menard and wife Krista; daughter, Jade Rachel Menard; stepdaughter Rachel Allen Duncan and husband Ritchie; stepson, Joseph Michael Hausner and wife Tiffany; grandson, Carson David Menard; granddaughter, Annabelle Ellen Duncan; brother, Wayne Woodard and wife Elizabeth; sister Vicky Laedwig and husband Wallace; sister Becky Weaver Echols and husband Jeff. Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Woodard, grandmother Rachel Griffis ("Little Mama") and niece, Diann Gilmore. Elizabeth treasured her happy times in New York City and her special retreat on the Hudson River in Columbia County, New York. She was an astute listener and a well-known source of good judgment. Her competence as a registered nurse and devotion to family was a gift to those fortunate to have known her. A visitation will be held in Angleton at Palms Funeral Home 2300 East Mulberry Street, Angleton on Thursday, December 6 from six until eight o'clock in the evening. A memorial service will be held in Angleton at Second Baptist Church, 1817 Shanks Road, commencing at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, December 7 with a luncheon to follow. An additional visitation will be held in Houston at George H. Lewis & Sons Funeral Home, 1010 Bering Drive on Friday, December 7 from five o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening.
