Elizabeth Carolyn "Carol" Pursley

Elizabeth "Carol" Carolyn Pursley, 76, of Dayton, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Margaret Campbell Walder; son, James Pursley; brothers, Buck, Lewis, and Steve Walder; and sister, Janie Van Winkle. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 56 years, Bill Pursley; son, David Pursley and wife, Anita; daughters, Stacy Pursley and husband, David Rambo, and Helen Hawley and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Traci Ware, Chelsie Pursley, Elizabeth Mrohs, Andrew Pursley, Catie Jalufka, Casie Jalufka, Cylie Bott, and Rebecca Pursley; great grandchildren, Alayah Dugat, Bailey Fregia, Kyng Dugat, Scott Pursley, Zaelyn Jalufka, Aubreigh Williams, Lee Bott, Amelia Ware, and Alyviah Williams; brothers, Robert, Johnny and George Walder; sisters, Colleen Beacom and Ginger Johnson; and a host of other family and dear friends. Carol was born in Brewton, Alabama on September 29, 1944. She later on met the love of her life, Bill Pursley, and they were married and began to build their life together on January 11, 1964. Carol enjoyed doing things for others, whether it be helping someone or making people things. She would always give gifts that she sewed by hand and that personal touch always made it special. Carol was a professional cake decorator and an excellent cook. Strong in her faith, she lived her life to serve others and God. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation for Carol will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020, at Palms Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at Palms Funeral Home on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at 11:00 am, with Bud Beacom officiating. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
