Elizabeth Katharina Dufner Elizabeth Katharina Dufner, 81, of Angleton finished her walk on this Earth Thursday, February 22, 2018 surrounded by her family. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:30 Sunday, February 25, 2018 at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Pete Lopez officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, 2:30 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church. Elizabeth was born July 11, 1936 in Oppenheim, Germany to Karl Johann & Katharina Friedrich. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Hilrey Leo Dufner, Jr. Survivors include her son; Michael Dufner of Angleton & daughters; Carmen Dufner (Rabbit) Angleton, Shirley Ermis (Charles) of Lake Jackson, Deborah Perez (David) of Sweeny. Sister; Maria Friedrich Hertzog (Paul) of Oppenhiem, Germany. Grandchildren; Christina Carr (Ryan), Christopher Dufner, Richard Sims, Misty Wilbanks (Daniel), Cody Ermis (Jen), Michele Albritton (Jeremy), Hillary Sharp (Mike), John Ermis, Taylor Perez, Rebekah Ermis, Bryce Perez (Braelyn), Ramie Belanger (Richard) and 12 Great Grandchildren. Pallbearers are Christopher Dufner, Richard Sims, Cody Ermis, John Ermis, Ryan Carr and Bryce Perez. "Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me." Our mother met the love of her life (Hilrey Leo Dufner, Jr.) in Germany while he was stationed there in the Army. Shortly after they welcomed their first child Michael and traveled to the United States. After many different stations they welcomed their daughters (Carmen, Shirley, & Debbie). Her husband retired to Angleton, Texas and they began their life to raise their children. She loved being "Oma" to her grandchildren and children. Her greatest joys were cooking for her family and having them all together.
