Elizabeth Virginia Edwards

Elizabeth Virginia Edwards has graduated to Heaven on May 30, 2023 in Lake Jackson, Texas. She was born in Westfield, Pennsylvania on October 20, 1928 to Emmett C. Palmer and Gertrude Elizabeth (Hunt) Palmer. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband of 57 years, Leonard C. Edwards, her brother Robert Dean Palmer and sisters-in-law, Gail Palmer and Faye Palmer. She is survived by children Danny Palmer Edwards (Janet), Lenny C. Edwards (DeDe), Patti Hammond (Rick), Trudy Edwards and brothers John Palmer (Bobbie) and Terry Palmer. Among those that loved her were her grandchildren Jennifer Romero (Tony), Eric Edwards (Andrea), Ryan Fitzpatrick (Amber), Drew Edwards (Paige), Kaylon Hammond (Mike), Alex Hammond (Catherine), Hillary Hammond, and Travis Loomer (Coutney). Great grandchildren include Devan, Corey, Emmalynn, Eliot, Hattie, Charlie, Savannah, Lexie, Caitlyn, Scotty, Kylie, Zachary, Jace, Logan, Jordyn, Savannah, Rylee, and Elizabeth. Virginia loved her family and the community of Angleton. She was a kind and thoughtful member of Calvary Baptist Church, Lions Club, Scouts, Grandmothers Club, Sweet Adelines, and Mermaids. She also worked as a nurse from 1964 until retirement. Her celebration of life will be on Saturday, June 3, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton with visitation at 10:00 and services at 11:00. Burial to follow at Angleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Texas Lions Camp in Kerrville. Service Details.
