Elvira Garcia

Elvira Garcia, 103, of Lockhart passed away with her family by her side on January 4, 2023. Elvira began her life journey on December 20, 1919, in Lockhart, Texas when she was born to Pedro Garcia and Antonia Arceniega. She lived to see many changes throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed being with her family, cooking and baking pies, drinking coffee, crocheting and sewing blankets, and telling stories about all she had experienced throughout her time. In her later years, you could hardly find a time when Elvira wasn't listening to music or dancing. To say that Elvira was the most pure and kind person to ever live, would be an understatement. When you think of what the love of a mother, grandmother, sister, or friend should be; Elvira was it. There will never be another like her. She loved, laughed, listened, and lived..every day, unchanging. Those that preceded her in death include her husband; Heraclio Garcia, son; Heraclio (Rocky) Garcia, parents; Pedro and Antonia, siblings; Suzanna and Ofelia, daughter in law; Esther Garcia, great grandchild; Gabriel Scalf. Those left to treasure an abundance of memories include her children: Hector Garcia, Enrique Garcia, Andres Garcia, and Raul Garcia; the ladies that adored her: Nau Garcia, Janie Garcia, Linda Garcia, and Sheila Garcia; grandchildren: Richard Garcia (Denise), Lien Garcia, Christina Zuniga, Bertha Martinez (Marty), Lisa Borja (Rene), Daniel Garcia (Jessica), Lori Steward (Leon), Sally Sosa (Mike), Jamie Garcia, Abby Calderon, and Rebecca Larsen (Derek); great grandchildren: Dalton Yarbrough, Jayden Garcia, Gabriella Martinez, James Martinez, Isabella Garcia, Maddie Garcia, Providence Steward, Addison Steward, Haddon Steward, Phinhas Steward, Magnolia Sosa, Anthony Diaz, Aaron House, Kimber Larsen, and Khloe Larsen.
