Erik Daniel Martin

Erik Daniel Martin, age 29, passed away peacefully on July 6th, 2019 after a long battle with Neurofibromatosis. He was born to Lloyd E. Martin III and Mary Jo Goodrum on October 28th, 1989 and grew up in Brazoria County. He was a graduate of Brazosport High School in 2009. Erik was an avid sports fan - the Texans and the Rockets being his favorite teams. This year he attended the Rockets/Spurs game and was able to excitedly cross that off of his bucket list. He was a technology wizard and a playstation guru. He had great taste in food and loved to cook, even aspiring to someday become a chef. He brought so much joy and strength to everyone around him. He was a fighter until the very end and fiercely loved his family. He is preceded in death by his father, Lloyd E. Martin III and grandparents, Esther Martin, Lloyd E. Martin Jr. and Barbara Goodrum. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Goodrum, sisters, Lindsay Hill and Tracy Martin, and many extended family members. Visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11th from 6-8 PM. A graveside service will be held at the Angleton Cemetery Friday, July 12th at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, Erik requested donations be made to the Texas Neurofibromatosis Foundation: http://texasnf.org/makeadonation with the hope and prayer that one day there will be a cure.
