Eunice 'June' Park

May 2, 1923 — January 29, 2012

Eunice "June" Park was called into eternal rest and worship by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, January 29 2012, at the age of 88. June was born on May 2, 1923, to Myrtle and Howard Nash. June married the love of her life, Durwood Park, on June 7, 1938. She and Durwood would go on to raise 4 beautiful children, Cloyce Wayne, Dolores June, Deborah Kay, and Karen Denise. June would later become Nanny to all of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and would be known as Nanny to everyone around her. In October of 1954, June and Durwood received the glorious gift of salvation, by grace, through faith, from their loving and graceful God. By the power of the Holy Spirit, June lived the remaining 57 years of her life in humble service to her Savior and King. June served faithfully in the churches she was a member of, including Angleton Missionary Baptist Church, Unity Missionary Baptist Church (Richwood), and Fresh Spring Baptist Church (Angleton). She leaves behind a faithful example and testament to a life of Godly living, as well to the power of God's grace. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Durwood, brother Howard, sister Ruby, as well as twin sons, Durwood and Sherwood, who died at birth. June is survived by her children, Wayne and Mona Park, Dee and Carroll Grigsby, Debbie and Don Wanner, Denise and Mike McGuire, 19 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild on the way, as well as countless relatives, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ. On behalf of June, her family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers: Dr. Robert Hust, Nancy Conger, Dr. Falcon, D'Arcey Scott, the caring people of IPH Hospice, especially Suzelle Martin, Linda Bruce, Pastor Thomas Lester, Dominique Creekmore, Casey Suchon, and Lily Bu. Funeral services will be Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with her grandson, Cody Trevino, and pastor, David Catoe, officiating. Burial will follow at Angleton Cemetery.
