Evan John Rood

July 24, 1998 — February 4, 2015

Evan John Rood, 16, of Edmond, Oklahoma passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Evan was born on July 24, 1998 at RAF Lakenheath, in England. Evan was a loving, caring son and an incredibly smart young man with a bright future. As a child of a military family, Evan traveled the world with his family, experiencing more than most people do in a lifetime. Evan loved visiting the Peltier Ranch in Wyoming, gardening with his Mom, mountain biking with Dad and experiencing countless outdoor activities such as boating, scuba diving and snow skiing. Evan also enjoyed playing a good video game with his brother and spent many of his weekends spending time with his family by going to see a movie, throwing a frisbee or wrestling with his Dad. Evan was a Junior at Edmond Santa Fe High School and enjoyed playing the clarinet and absolutely loved Marching Band and the friends he made in Band. Evan is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandfather, John Rood and his Maternal Grandfather, James Peltier. Evan is survived by his father, Michael Rood of Edmond, Oklahoma and his mother, Blondina Peltier Rood, of Canyon Lake, Texas, Brother, Ashton Rood, Maternal Grandmother Esta Peltier, Paternal Grandmother, Susan Rood and several Aunts, Uncles, cousins, family and friends. Graveside services will held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Danbury, Texas.
