Farest Smith Jr.

On November 15, 2021 Farest Smith of Angleton Texas passed away at the age of 91 years. Farest will be lovingly remembered by this children Mike Smith (Sandra) of Angleton, Stacy Smith (Mary) of Angleton as well as his stepchildren Kenneth Pastusek (Nan) of Denton, Diane Crenshaw (Greg) of Angleton, Cynthia Bennett (Bubba) of Danbury and Susan Seibel (Pete) of Waxahachie. He will also be dearly missed by his grandchildren Carrie, Josh, Kendall, Cacy, Cody, Beau, Eric, Beth, Kathrine, Ryan, Jennifer, Doug and Caleb as well as his great grandchildren. Farest retired from Dow Chemical after 26 years of service and then took the seat of Angleton Municipal City Judge for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and putting around the golf course. But most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his mother Georgia Marsh Hall and stepfather William E. Hall, father Forest A. Smith Sr. and stepmother Velma Smith, wife Charlene Barr Smith, wife Avis Gennette Smith, daughter Rebecca Bland, stepson John Pastusek, half sisters Marion Weindorf and Betty Holcomb. A visitation will take place at Palms Funeral Home on Monday, November 22, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. A graveside service will be Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00am at Angleton Cemetery.
