Florence (Flossie ) Harvey 83, of Danbury passed away peacefully Sunday, October 6, 2013.She was born on June 16, 1930 in Houston, Texas to Homer Thomas Prunty and Evelyn Lois Yauch Prunty. Flossie was married to Paul "Pug" Harvey on December 31, 1949. Together they had 3 children. Pauletta Harvey Klemstein and husband Jimmy of Needville, Suzanne Harvey McCracken and husband James "Bubba" McCracken of Baileys Prairie and Tommy Harvey of San Antonio. Flossie was very proud of her 6 Grandchildren, Marisa Klemstein Bienek and husband Chris of Needville, Chantz Klemstein and wife Kristi of Damon, J. T. McCracken & wife Christi of West Columbia, Kyle McCracken and wife Katie of Lubbock, Garrett Harvey of College Station and Meagan Harvey of Danbury. The other delights in Flossie's life were her 6 Great Grandchildren, Hunter Bienek, Hallie Bienek, Colt Klemstein, Kash McCracken, Kajun McCracken, Cannan McCracken and Gunnar Matthews. Flossie is survived by her brother Homer Prunty and wife Kathy of Angleton, sister-in-law Shirley LeCompte and husband Raymond and sister-in-law Tennie Fief and husband Leo both of Danbury and brother-in-law Clifford Harvey and wife Ginger of Bay City. She had numerous nieces and nephews. Flossie's extended Family was Tracy Soileau, Haley Iris Anderson, Jessica Anderson, Cynthia Hands and the entire Elmcroft Assisted Living Staff. Flossie graduated from Danbury High School. Her first employer was Mr. Jack Garrett at the Garrett Rice Dryers in Danbury. Then she later worked for Danbury Industries as their accountant. After leaving Danbury Industries, Flossie was one of the first employees of the Danbury State Bank. It was there that she began her 27 year career in the Banking Industry. Flossie met and made many friends while working at Danbury State Bank. She supported various community organizations and was a faithful supporter of the youth of Brazoria County at the Brazoria County Fair. Helping many people with their personal lives and finances was very rewarding to her. After retiring ,Flossie served on the committee to establish the Danbury Library and volunteered with various other community projects. Flossie loved Danbury, Texas and loved her church family at Community Baptist Church. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the Elmcroft Assisted Living Staff for the love, support and care they gave to Flossie, as well as the nurses of IPH Hospice care. Pallbearers will be Garrett Harvey, J. T. McCracken, Kyle McCracken, Chantz Klemstein, Chris Bienek and Jeff LeCompte. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hunter and Hallie Bienek, Colt Klemstein, Gunnar Matthews, Kash, Kajun and Cannan McCracken. Visitation will be held at Community Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the Community Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 @10:-00 a.m. with Jamie Hill officiating.
