Foster Carlin Ellison Jr.

October 16, 1952 — July 9, 2019

Foster Carlin Ellison Jr, was born to Foster and Evelyn Ellison Sr. in Freeport, TX on October 16, 1952 as the third of 4 children. Foster began working as a pipefitter and used his knowledge and hard work to land at his final career as a Civil Inspector with Jacobs Engineering. He was known for being extremely through and worked on numerous large projects throughout the Houston area, training many young people along the way. As a young man, Foster loved the outdoors doing activities such as hunting and fishing. He also loved NASCAR and watching his son, he affectionately called Frostie, dirt track car racing and was his biggest supporter. In his later years, Foster he had a special love with the beach and could often be found parked watching the sunrise and sunset over the Gulf of Mexico or watching the ships coming into the jetties. Foster held his family close to his heart and treasured his grandchildren more than anything in the world. He loved family game nights, family dinners and watching his grandchildren participate in all their activities. He could often be found on the sidelines of the high school football game or in the auditorium at a dance recital. With his large and giving heart, Foster would help anyone in need in any way he could. He was also known for his catch phrase, "I may not always be right but I am never wrong." Foster departed his earthly home on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 in Houston surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Tippet, brother, Birdie W. Ellison and in-laws, John T. & Pearl Williams and sister in law Mary Mannix.
