Frances Victoria Schwartz

Frances Victoria (Stawarczik) Schwartz, 90, of Angleton left this earth on June 17, 2016 to join her beloved husband and be reunited in heavenly grace. She was born on March 27, 1926 to Victor and Sophia Stawarczik in Johnston City, Illinois as the oldest of four children. She graduated with the Class of 1945 from Johnston City High School and married Edward "Puzz" Schwartz on July 21, 1949 eventually moving to Texas which she adopted as her new home state. Frances was employed as a Ward Clerk for the Angleton-Danbury General Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1988. She then enjoyed traveling with Puzz and entertaining their grandchildren before his death in 2000. She was also a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church (previously St. Basil's) for over 60 years. Frances enjoyed get-togethers with the various senior members of the Angleton Recreation center including various out of town excursions and the monthly lunch trips to review local eateries. She could also be found at the local bowling centers participating in senior leagues while competing in state and national tournaments for many years. Her two all-time favorite activities, however, centered around her monthly Bunko group and weekly appearances at the Angleton KC Bingo Hall. Frances was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Emma Spiller, all of Johnston City, Illinois and her husband of 51 years, Puzz Schwartz, of Angleton, Texas. She is survived by her son, Jimmy Schwartz and wife Nancy; daughter, Janie Schwartz-Shaw and husband James "JD"; brothers Rudy Stawarczik and Robert Stawarczik; granddaughters Allyson Morales and husband Victor, Erin Schwartz; grandson Drew Blawvelt; great-grandson Addison Schwartz, and brother-in-law Don Spiller of Johnston City, Illinois. Surviving nieces and nephews include Rita Cloud, Kaye Cloutier, Rudie Lynn Berger, Christie Pippin, Wesley Stawarczik, and Kyle Stawarczik as well as eight great nieces and nephews and 4 great-great nieces and nephews. Viewing will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas on Tuesday, June 21, 2016 from 6-8 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated by Father David Zapalac at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 10 am followed by burial at Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Stawarczik, Jeff Berger, Keith Pippin, Victor Morales, Drew Blawvelt, and John Whitney. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Cloud, Paul Cloutier, and Alan Aultman. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Frances's name to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 1713 North Tinsley, Angleton, Texas, 77515.
