George B. Davis, Jr. 77, of East Columbia passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 in Angleton, Texas. George was born February 7. 1936 in Galveston, Texas to George B. & Nancy Mae Davis, Sr. He retired from Dow Chemical after 38 years of service and had served with the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Melvin Davis & 3 sisters Joyce Davis, Juanita McClendon & Martha Mize, granddaughter; Nikki Mae Davis, nephew Fred Collette and son Paul who died on February 7, 2013. George is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty Davis of East Columbia Children; L'Ella Ramirez & husband Joe of Angleton, Richard Davis & wife Nancy of Danbury, Nancy Jones & husband Clayton of East Columbia and Lisa Solis & husband Joe of Holiday Lakes, Tim Collette of Holiday Lakes & Anita Collette of Danbury. Daughter-in-law; Deeanna Davis of Hammond, NY Special Nephews Blaine Collette, Kimberly Hall & Christopher Collette. Sisters; Florence Danhaus & husband Daniel of Lake Jackson and Barbara Wakeham & husband Bill of Frankston. 16 Grandchildren & 15 Great-Grandchildren. Funeral services are set for 10:00 Saturday, March 2, 2013 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Danbury Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 at Palms.
