George Luis Velez, Jr. 43, of Angleton Texas, passed away on March 29, 2021 at Jennie Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. A viewing will be held for friends and family at Palms Funeral Home on Thursday, April 8, 2021 from 5pm-7pm. George's memorial service will be held at 10am Friday, April 9, 2021 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton, Texas. Graveside service to follow at Angleton Cemetery. George was born June 7, 1977 in Galveston, Texas. When he wasn't working you could find him spending time with his family and friends, fishing, or playing pool. George never met a stranger… He is survived by his wife, Cherise Velez; three daughters, Erica Cantu, Olivia Velez, and Ava Velez; one son, Marcus Velez; three brothers, Gabriel Velez, Arturo Velez, and Alejandro Velez; one sister, Isabel Velez; mother, Bietrice Villanueva; father, Jorge Velez; and many other family and friends. Pallbearers will include Gabriel Velez, Alejandro Velez, Ethan Johnstone, Tyler Brown, Trenton Miller, Dale Campbell, Jesse Cantu, and Roland Rodriguez. Honorary Pallbearer will be Marcus Velez.
