Geraldine Patten 'Jerry' Singletary

Geraldine Patten "Jerry" Singletary of Angleton, TX was born November 23, 1925 in Garza, Texas and died January 25, 2011 in Angleton, TX at 86 years of age. She married Luther "Luke" Singletary on January 23, 1943 in Colbert, Oklahoma. Gerldine was preceded in death by her parents Hubert Juette and Rosa Maynard Patten, husband Luther "Luke" Singletary, son Derrel Lee Singletary and sister Margaret Aulds. Survivors include daughters: Anita Paulette "Polly" and husband Herman Schueneman of Alvin, Cheryl Lynn "Sherry" Kiepe of Angleton and son Hollan Patten "Pat" and wife Maria Singletary of Alvin; Grandchildren: Lance and wife Rebecca Schueneman , Andrew Schueneman, Kristy and husband Kevin Davis, Matthew Singletary, Michael Smith, Buckley Smith, Bobby Smith and Lori Ledbetter. Great-grandchildren: Brianna Padon, Tyler Padon, Nathan Davis, Cody Kiepe, Audrey Schueneman, Eden Smith, Lucas Smith, Shawnda Smith, Sarah Smith, Matthew Smith, Josh Smith, Shelby Smith, Ashley Hannah, Amy Ledbetter, and Alissa Ledbetter; Great-great grandchildren Paige Smith, Elaine Reising, Sydd Smith, Eli Smith, Nyla Eskridge, Max Good, Davon Good and Alex Smith; sister Shirley Morris of Portland, Oregon, brother James Patten of Kingsville, TX and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Geraldine was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Her home was always open through several generations of family and friends but the best times were to be found around the kitchen table where you could always find lively conversations, coffee and endless goodies. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Palms Funeral Home Chapel in Angleton at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 27, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. also at Palms Funeral Home.
