Gladys Marie Lantrip

Gladys Marie Lantrip, 89 of Angleton passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was born to Arthur & Roxy Collins in West Plains, MO. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. a Public Visitation will be held from 11-1:00 p.m. on Monday in Palms Funeral Home. She was a great wife, mother & grandmother who lived to bargain shop. She met the love of her life Vernon in Pueblo, CO while he was stationed in Colorado Springs, CO after he returned from WWII serving in the US Army Aircorp. They got married on August 3, 1945 in Raton, NM while on their way back to Henderson, TX. They were married for 51 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Lantrip, parents, sisters; Opal Gilbert & Frieda Clough, brothers; Howard & Harold Collins. Gladys is survived by her sons; Billy Lantrip of Angleton, Ronald Lantrip of Santa Fe, Donald Lantrip of Angleton & Kenneth Lantrip of Angleton, sisters; Fern Ledbetter, Josephine White & Wilma Stark, grandchildren; John Lantrip(Stephanie), Jason Lantrip(Robin), Mistie Guerin(Seth), Brooke Barfuss(Zach) & Sandi Satrom(Ken), great-grandchildren; Josh, Jacob, Sky, Abigail & Jude Lantrip, Jesse & Vance Guerin, Hudson & Jackson Barfuss & Austin Satrom as well as numerous family and friends. Family would like thank the staff of Angleton/Danbury, Country Village & Brazosport Regional Medical Center for caring for their mother.
