Gloria Jean Chandler

On January 28, 2022, Gloria Jean Chandler, 68, of Angleton, Texas, lost her battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Klickitat, Washington to Lawrence Arthur Barrett and Farl Jean Lewis on June 18, 1953. Not long after graduating high school she moved her family to Texas where she pursued her degree in accounting. On March 5, 2005, she married the love of her life, Rodney Polk. Together they enjoyed cooking, traveling, gardening, and spending time with family. She was a proud gardener and loved spending time outdoors, maintaining her flower beds. Most of all, she loved to read. You could find her curled up for hours reading a good book. She was preceded in death by her father Lawrence Arthur Barrett, her mother Farl Jean Agan, her sister Victoria Jane Brown, her son in law George Luis Velez Jr., and her granddaughter Haley Renee Miller. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Rodney Polk; her children Michelle (Dale) Campbell of Angleton, Texas, Cherise Velez of Angleton, Texas, Nicole (Bradley) Jones of Angleton, Texas, Robert Polk of Angleton, Texas, Megan Polk of Angleton, Texas; her sisters Joanne (Bill) Nisbet of Bend, Oregon, Jackie Agan (Tamara Suttle) of Castle Rock, Colorado, BJ Agan of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren Samantha (Corey) Gardner, Trenton Miller, Erica Cantu, Marcus Velez, Olivia (Ethan) Johnstone, Ava Velez, Braden Jones, Camden Jones, and great grandchildren Drayton Casper, Chevy Miller, and Jessica Miller.
