Harold Eugene Douglas, 67, of Angleton, passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Sara Connell Douglas. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 46 years, Deborah Ann Taylor Douglas; sons, Harold W. Douglas and Johnathan Douglas (Kristen); daughters, Jennifer Valencia (Andy) and Carrie Silbas; sisters, Lisa and Pam; grandchildren, Courtney, Audrey, Kaylee, Devynn, Jadynne, Taylor, Sydney, Chloe, and Gracie; great grandchildren, Raymond, Roman, Alexandra, and Maddie; and a host of other family and dear friends. Harold was born on May 23, 1953, in Tallassee, Alabama, and proudly served in the United States Air Force. He and his family moved to Texas from Florida to start his 25+ years career with InterMedics. After leaving InterMedics, Harold spent over 20 years protecting and serving as a peace officer and eventually becoming police chief. During this time, he volunteered as a fireman and worked his way up to fire chief. Harold was a true servant to his community, staying through four floods to help anyone who needed it. He was a determined and hardworking man, who's morals and decisions could not be swayed. Harold never failed to tell people the truth, it may not be what they wanted to hear but it was what they needed to hear. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation and service for Harold will take place at Palms Funeral Home, on Sunday, March 14, 2021. The visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and continue until service time at 1:30 pm.
