Harriotte Giles Robinson,74, born on November 1, 1950, in New York, NY, passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 27, 2024 at her home in Angleton with her family by her side. A beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Harriotte was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served as a Journalist Seaman Apprentice from November 30, 1970, until her discharge on November 29, 1973.
Following her military service, she dedicated her creative talents to the field of graphic art, working as a Graphic Artist for ADVO Advertising, where she left her mark with her distinctive style and vision. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Harriotte was an accomplished artist in her personal life. She enjoyed sculpting and crafting, often finding inspiration in nature, particularly in her passion for birding. Harriotte was also renowned for her culinary skills, delighting her family with her beloved Garides and Brunswick Stew.
On November 30, 1974, she married Christopher Robinson in a ceremony held in New York City in the Church of the Transfiguration, also known as, "The Little Church Around the Corner.” Together, they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, love, and adventure. Harriotte and Christopher traveled to many places, with memorable trips to Hawaii and Italy, where they embraced new cultures and created lasting memories.
Harriotte is survived by her devoted husband, Christopher Robinson; her cherished sons, Christopher and Hunter Robinson; and her beloved sister, Laura Giles. Her spirit, kindness, and creativity will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends.
Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating her extraordinary life and the joy she brought to everyone around her at her memorial service on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home with visitation starting at 1:00 pm.
Harriotte Giles Robinson leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and service, and though she has departed from this world, her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her. Harriotte was preceded in death by her parents: Paul and Ashby(Acree) Giles, and her beloved Aunt Kathryn Watson.
