Helen Libby Scherdin

Helen Libby Scherdin, 95, of Lake Jackson, Texas, a cherished mother, wife, and Nannie. Helen, born in Freeport, Texas, embraced life with her love for shopping, art, and visits to the casino. A talented cook, she found joy in family gatherings, making memories that will forever be treasured.

Left to carry on her legacy are her son, Jimmie “JR” Scherdin, Jr. and wife Cathy, along with grandchildren Kevin and Russell, and great-grandchildren Sladen, Jenna, and Priscilla. Helen also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Those preceding Helen in death was her husband, Jimmie Scherdin, and her siblings: Lee Moore, Emma Perry, Anna Laura Johns, and Velma Moore.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 12, 2024, at Palms Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m., with visitation for the public beginning at 10:00 a.m. Join us as we gather to celebrate her life and share in the memories that will always stay with us. Helen will find her final resting place at Phair Cemetery.
