Helen Marie Sonnier, 84, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Patrick and Josie Belle (Casey) McTighe, four siblings, and grandson, Brian Keith Nolen. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 43 years, Ruston Joseph Sonnier; sons, Christopher Harvey Cruce and wife, Wendi, Brian Joseph Sonnier and wife, Jane; daughters, Susan Scherea Perry and husband, Mike, Faith Wayne Wallace, Cheryl Ann Nolen and husband, Brian, Colleen Ann Seat and husband, David; sisters, Jean Ann Jones and Susan Jane Goldman; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a host of other family and dear friends. Helen was born on May 28, 1936, in Three Rivers, Texas. Everyone who crossed her path was then a friend and she never failed to keep a conversation going. Helen always found a way to make the ones around her feel comfortable. She was kind, gentle, compassionate, and loved with everything she had. Helen described things as precious, but I think we all could agree that she was the precious one in our lives. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A visitation and funeral mass for Helen will be on Thursday, October 8, 2020. The visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home from 9:00 am to 10:00 am. A rosary and the funeral mass will take place at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The rosary will begin at 10:30 am, followed by the mass at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Angleton Cemetery.
