Helen Mary Filipp

Helen Mary Filipp, 84 of Danbury passed away Saturday, June 30, 2012. She was born September 25, 1927 in Breslau, TX to Joe and Elizabeth (Koncaba) Drozd. Helen was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Danbury, and served as the secretary for S.P. J. S. T. and RVOS. A loving Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother, she loved to garden & and was a wonderful cook. Helen was known for her homemade kolaches and rosettes (butterfly cookies). She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Filipp, Sr. and son, Larry Wayne Filipp, brothers; George Drozd, Oscar Drozd & grandson Glen Ryan. Helen is survived by her sons, William Filipp, Jr. (Marcia) and Alan Joe Filipp; grandchildren, Jason Filipp (Tammy), Alicia Filipp Karbowski (Mike), Karen Filipp Morales (Frank), Alan Filipp (Bonnie), Ace Filipp and Hunter Filipp (Corbynn); great grandchildren, Allyn, West, Carson, Reese, Montana, Danica, Alicia, Jake and Elaina; and sister-in-law, Gladys Drozd. Visitation will be held from 5-8 on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Moulton, Texas with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
