Henry Curr Berry, Jr., of Angleton Texas passed away on April 8, 2024. Henry was born on May 3, 1937, in Byers, Texas to Henry Curr Berry, Sr. and Della Blanche (Benson) Berry. He was the youngest child of 7.
Henry proudly served in the United States Army.
He married Marjorie Rose Nelms on January 23, 1960, in Byers, TX. Henry is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marjorie, his son Roger and wife, Dana, their children Andrew and Jordan, and his daughter, Elizabeth. His sister Ruby Jo Dowlen from Lake Jackson Texas, along with many in-laws, nephews and nieces.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and visiting with his friends and past coworkers. He always had a story to tell and a joke to laugh at. He loved listening to all kinds of music and especially enjoyed when his grandson played his guitar and sang for him. He never missed a performance or sporting event for his children and grandchildren. In later years, he never missed an episode of Gunsmoke and The Andy Griffith Show. He was a long-time member of Second Baptist Church in Angleton. Most of all, he loved his wife, family, relatives, and friends. We are especially grateful to our neighbors who watched out for him over these past few years. He was a pipefitter at Dow Chemical and worked there for over 30 years upon his retirement in 1995.
