Herlinda E. Duarte

Herlinda Escobedo Duarte, 73, went to be with the Lord on October 30,2020 at HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland in Pearland, Texas. She was born in Matamoros, Tamaulipas on May 3, 1947. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rita Jaramillo Escobedo; her husband, Raul Duarte; her son, Elmer Duarte, and her brother Jose Luis Escobedo Sr. She was a devoted Christian woman who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and do her word search puzzles. She was very passionate about her gardening and being outdoors enjoying the sunshine. Words can never describe what an awesome mother and grandmother (lita) she was. She leaves behind many beautiful memories that we will always carry in our hearts. Like she always used to say, "Recordar es vivir". She is going to be missed greatly by her family. Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Raul Duarte Jr. (Reyna) and Daniel Duarte (Rebecca); daughters, Herlinda Cantu (Noe) and Noemi Duarte (Francisco); her father, Jose Rosalio Escobedo; sisters, Gloria E. Guillen (Epifanio), Elvia E. Rivera (Rodolfo), Maria Elena E. Sanchez (Leopoldo); sister-in-law, Rosario R. Escobedo; brothers, Juan Abran Escobedo (Zoila) and Gilberto Escobedo (Alicia); grandchildren, Elizabeth Cantu, Lillian Recalde and Gracie Recalde, and numerous nieces and nephews.
